The 6.5mm Carcano we were able to find is serial-numbered C4880, and Oswald’s was C2766. That puts it only a couple thousand rifles away in the production line, and our test rifle has the original scope mount and scope found on Oswald’s as well, almost exactly like the rifle/scope combo he bought out of the February 1963 American Rifleman. Serial number- XN4344 Year- 1941 Maker- F.N.A. Brescia Range- (Adjustable Sights) 1,500 meters (Fixed) 300 meters Bayonet- Detachable, folding, triangular Height- 0.9144 meters or so Sling swivels- On the side Bolt- Bent, Mauser style (In other words, it controls the bullet.) Markings I can see: RE with a three point crown over it. I have a Carcano 1939 XVIII Terni 7.35 cal. U8237 rifle that has all those markings and an SA and a small crown and under a large crown and also an E on barell also. Stock looks like it was custom done. Was sent home during ww2 by my grandfather. I was trying to find a value on it.

Carcano M91 Serial Number Lookup

This rifle s a R.E. Terni manufactured Carcano 6.5x52mm Service Rifle, model of 1941 XIX. This rifle has been well preserved in my storage, but has been 'sporterised' by some previous owner before coming into my possession twenty five years ago to be exact.
Externally the the rifle is in really good condition for it's age, The bore although does have a shine, its not bright but its more a matt finish. It has shot well for me twenty or so years ago, and I would expect it would do the same for any other user, bearing in mind that is a mass manufactured Carcano Service Rifle.
Package comes with new unused Lee Die st, 8 stripper clips, 40 new unused Norma Cases, 81 once fired Norma Factory loaded cases, and 173x156 grain 6.5 mm/10.1 gram projectiles (not shown).
